Roundtable Indonesia

This Culture and Environment Roundtable was hosted in Indonesia and convened in partnership with Indonesian organisation INSPIRIT, and the British Council Indonesia.

Participants & Speakers

Participants and speakers from environmental and cultural fields in Indonesia came together to explore how culture, and cultural policy specifically, is responding to the climate crisis.

Insights & Conclusions

Held under amended Chatham House Rule, the Roundtable findings, insights and themes were collated into a summary report.

"We need to replace the economic ‘monoculture’ model of sustainability with the ‘biodiverse’ blend of cultural, social, environmental and ancestral practices for just and sustainable economic development.”
Speaker, Roundtable Indonesia
