Julie’s Bicycle was founded by the music industry in 2007. The mission of our music programme is to unlock the potential of the sector to spark cultural change.
We do this by supporting the music sector with the guidance, resources and tools it needs to take urgent environmental action.
Who we work with
JB collaborates with global partners across both live and recorded music.
This includes festivals, venues, labels and music industry professionals from small organisations to large multinationals. We work with national and global industry networks and policy bodies, connecting the music sector to the wider creative climate movement.
We are also active members of crucial cross-industry initiatives, including LIVE Green Beyond Zero, Vision2025, Powerful Thinking, Music Declares Emergency and many more.
How we can work together
We combine deep environmental and music sector expertise with skilled research and strategic insight.
We provide guidance, resources and tools across the following areas:
- Strategy: identifying focus areas, target setting, policies and action plans, and governance
- Training and learning: climate literacy training, skills and knowledge development and conducting research on industry challenges
- Measurement: tools and training for measuring and understanding your impact
- Communication: communications campaigns and case study development
- Engagement: policy and advocacy, convening and supporting networks, partner facilitation and supply chain engagement
Through our extensive network, JB links environmental action in the music sector with the wider culture sector and creative industries. We create transformational change at policy level and drive forward new ideas in the music sector.
