What does COP mean? The Conference of the Parties (COP) is the decision-making body of the UNFCCC in which all 197 Parties to the Convention send representatives. The COP meets every year to review the work of the UNFCCC and review the progress made in achieving the objectives of the convention. There have been 22 COPs since the UNFCCC's creation in 1995. The latest COP (COP 23) will take place in Bonn, Germany in November 2017. Find out more.
