Tigertours Ltd
Tigertours have recently invested £200k in new Euro 5s to update and expand their fleet, replacing all of their Euro 4 vehicles. These are designed to be more environmentally friendly in fuel consumption, and are a great consideration for unsigned bands and smaller UK tours where huge tour buses don’t make logistical sense. Managing Director, Kieron Barry, says that “bands would always morally take the option for a more environmentally friendly vehicle, however they almost always have to go for the cheapest option”.
Alongside the changes in their fleet, the company continually service their vehicles to ensure they are at their most efficient – this includes the installation of compressors to check tyre pressures (before each and every tour), which encourages clients to use less fuel.
Subconsciously, TigerTours presence within the industry is already assisting with a huge reduction in emissions, as Kieron states “our way allows the band and crew to travel together, [...] as an alternative to a band turning up for their gig in 5, sometimes 6 different vehicles”.
