Peats Ridge
Peats Ridge Festival in Australia offers a raft of initiatives to encourage more festival goers to bike to the event. A complimentary luggage pick-up and drop-off service from Central Station and Hawkesbury River Station can be pre-booked via Peats Ridge's Sustainability team. Cyclists can then travel stress and luggage-free to the site. In previous years Peats Ridge has also offered a campsite specifically for cyclists, reducing the pressure to make it in time for a ‘good position', and organised a ‘bike bus' encouraging cyclists to the festival to ride together in a group with a support vehicle and ride guide.
Peats Ridge also charge for car parking on site, with these profits being re-invested into their public transport schemes, such as shuttle buses.
