Catherine B's Australia Round-up

Added on 27th Oct 2010 by Catherine Bottrill

catherine bottrillFor the month of September I was in Australia to share with the creative industries community what we have been doing here in the UK.

We were invited to Bigsound 2010 to launch the international version of our IG Tour Tool. Now bands anywhere in the world can use the tool to measure the carbon emissions from their touring.

Instead of writing a blog about my time I thought it would be fun to tell the story of my time in Australia through some photos. Enjoy!

Julie's Bicycle goes to Australia, Sept 2010

There is lots of enthusiasm in the arts to take action on climate change and we are excited to be working with our Australian colleagues. As well as all those I met at Bigsound I met with Arts Council, Australia Council, Music Council of Australia and Next Step Music as well as academics from Queensland University of Technology and University of Queensland. We would very much like to thank Queensland Music, the organisers of Bigsound, for giving us such a terrific opportunity to join conversations in Australia about the cultural response to climate change and to share with people the work of Julie's Bicycle!
