IG Tools are Relaunched
We’ve given our Industry Green tools a face lift!
Designed to help creative organisations and touring orchestras, bands, theatre and dance productions calculate and predict their carbon emissions, these tools are a simple and very practical way of taking responsibility for and reducing carbon impact.
The online framework now has a new and improved user interface, allowing for simpler data entries with comprehensive help functionalities, the option of editing and deleting your entry once it has been submitted, and the ability to view the detailed results of all your entries after they have been submitted in small pop-up boxes.
Complete with sub-total breakdowns of your results, the tools now provide:
- cost per performance based on the government's most recent carbon pricing;
- benchmarks allowing you to compare your results to the industry average, as derived from our published research.
Brand new features including:
- updated drop-down lists for regions and sectors being tested;
- the ability to calculate audience travel or make informed assumptions about audience travel when raw data is not available;
- "*" to indicate required data entry fields;
- an innovation tab to enable you to outline what you are currently involved with;
- options for accounting for biodiesel-powered vehicles and generators, for composting, and other greener alternatives in the calculations;
- link to our preferred travel calculator for help with your travel and production data entries;
- ability to account for domestic accommodation (i.e. staying with friends, renting apartments) whilst touring;
