The Jellyfish Theatre opens in London

Added on 25th Aug 2010

The Jellyfish Theatre, designed by award-winning architects Köbberling and Kaltwasser, has been constructed using entirely recycled and reclaimed materials. From old theatre sets to second-hand crates and kitchen appliances, the structure of the venue is a testimony to the potential of making beauty from waste.

This energy efficient, community constructed, small scale theatre will play host to plays which explore the impact of climate change on human society, examining the inspiring ways in which we adapt to our new natural surroundings. The venue is located in the heart of Southwark and the organisers invite everybody to come and watch a play, attend a workshop or even help out with some further construction!
