Observer Ethical Awards 2012 launched with new Arts & Culture category
Yesterday saw the launch of the 2012 Observer Ethical Awards in association with Ecover, now in their seventh successive year of celebrating the projects, people and ideas that make sustainable change possible. The array of awards are as all-encompassing as ever, especially with the new edition of an Arts and Culture category (sponsored by Festival Republic), acknowledging the major role played by the arts in ecological and social-justice innovation, from the greening of venues and music festivals to the theatrical treatments of the climate-change debate.
For more information on the categories, and to cast your vote, visit observer.co.uk/ethicalawards.
This years' awards will as always be judged by a prestigious panel including the likes of Colin and Livia Firth, Ben Okri, Ben Fogle, Lily Cole, Melvin Benn of Festival Republic and our very own Alison Tickell, director of JB.
