JB Helen Heathfield to present at Green Events & Innovations 2011

Julies Bicycle's Associate Director of Energy and the Environment, Helen Heathfield, is giving one of the main presentations at the 2011 Green Events & Innovations Conference which will be held at Buckinghamshire New University on Wednesday April 20th.

Helen will focus on measuring greenhouse gas emissions at festivals and will also join the sustainable power panel in the afternoon along with Andy Mead from Solar Firefly, Sam Jenner from Eco-Charge Technologies, Claire O'Neill from the Association of Independent Festivals and Juliet Ross Kelly from the Eco Action Partnership and the Isle of Wight Festivals.

Other presentations are on waste management at festivals from Andy Willcott from Network Recycling and Helen Wright from A Greener Festival will look at environmental auditing at events. A second panel in the afternoon focusses on travel solutions and features Lucy Brook Clark from the Glastonbury Festval, Zoe Burton from Liftshare, Robin Bennett from the Wood and Truck Festivals, Teresa Moore from Bucks New University and Kevin Green from Big Green Coach.

The keynote talk on the role of the arts in fightinbg climate change will be given by Julies Bicycle board member and A Greener Festival co-founder Ben Challis.
