Networks
Julie’s Bicycle is working with a range of venue clusters and cultural organisations across the UK to support their work to improve environmental sustainability and reduce carbon emissions. We work with existing groupings wherever possible so we don’t duplicate and waste resources, and we make active links between the various networks and consortia to support the sharing of knowledge and ideas and the rapid adoption of best practice.
Networks we are working with include:
Green Theatre Network
An open network for UK theatre professionals to meet through networking events to share best practice, with an online platform for sharing resources and continued dialogue.
Join the Green Theatre Network
Green Music Network
Julie's Bicycle facilitates an online network for music industry professionals and artists - a platform to share best practice, ideas, campaigns, case studies and a forum for peer-to-peer support, guidance and access to Julie's Bicycle expert advice.
Bike Club
A network for our Associate members to meet regularly to develop collaborative relationships, share best practice and receive informal training on different aspects of sustainable practice from Julie's Bicycle and guest experts.

Power Providers Forum
Crucial to delivering our Power Behind Festivals campaign is the Power Providers Forum, a group of festival promoters and renewable power providers working together to develop solutions for scaling up renewable supply to UK festivals.
Contact us if you're interested in joining the forum.
Newcastle Gateshead Cultural Venues (NGCV)
A group of 10 arts and cultural organisations with 21 venues, including the Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art, The Sage Gateshead, Live Theatre, Northern Stage, the Tyneside Cinema, International Centre for Life, the Theatre Royal, Tyne & Wear Archives & Museums (which has 12 separate venues), Seven Stories and Dance City.
Festivals Edinburgh
Edinburgh’s Festivals are working together to try to understand their responsibility to the environment and do what they can do to minimise their impact and raise awareness of environmental issues. Venues and audience travel are the two most significant areas of impact that the Festivals have on the environment. In 2010 the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, along with the other major Edinburgh Festivals through their joint strategic body Festivals Edinburgh, launched a three year pilot programme to work with the city’s venues to help them measure, monitor and mitigate the impact of their operations during Festival time.
London Theatre Consortium
We are working on a project with a group of 12 London producing venues to improve the environmental performance of the individual venues over a three year period, and to facilitate peer learning and cross-consortium projects for a group of similar organisations tackling similar issues. The venues involved are: Almeida, BAC, Bush, Donmar, Greenwich, Hampstead, Lyric Hammersmith, Soho, Royal Court, Theatre Royal Stratford East, Tricycle, and Young Vic.
Ecovenue
We are supporting the Ecovenue programme run by The Theatres Trust which aims to work with 48 smaller London venues over the next three years to help them acquire Display Energy Certificates and environmental policies. Ecovenues are part of the Green Theatre Network and are sharing their data with us for benchmarking purposes using energy monitoring tool SMEasure.
There are a number of other similar projects in development. If you would like to talk about working with us in this way please do get in touch.
